Anticipation

I decided to start this Blog to track our vacation in Italy.   It is a 'sister-trip' with my sister, Suzanne and it is something that we have always talked about doing together.  Not necessarily specifically to Italy, but we always knew that some day, we would accomplish this.  Being that my nephew (Suzanne's son) is in the Navy and is fortunate enough to get stationed in Sicily, we decided that this was most likely the best chance we would get.

Imagine - We are in our early 50's (i'm the older sister) and traveling alone was just a little intimidating to us.  Sure, we would have each other and we could figure it out, but we were just a little bit leary of traveling alone.  Nephew Jeremy to the rescue !!

We are set to leave on March 30, 2011 out of Houston, Texas.  We are very excited and have our countdown going.   34 Days to Go !!

Just wanted to get this blog started and give a little background before we leave.  I will try to post every day from my netbook about what our adventures were during the day. 

So here's to Italy - TEXAS STYLE.  I'm not sure Italy........or my sister and I......will ever be the same.
